9/11 was a sad day for us all, I am sure most of us remember where we were, what we were doing and who we were with. I remember it like it was yesterday it is hard to believe that it has been so many years since it happened. I know when very sad things like this happen or we are looking back like a lot of us are today, it is hard to see the good and the positive in it. Times like that call for a good heaping dose of gratitude. Thankful for the fact that we are here today to remember. And thankful that we have our friends and family surrounding us in sad times, and thankful to all the Emergency workers that risk their life's time and time again when the need calls.

I watched the fires burn over the bay that sets between my neighborhood and NYC. Thankfully, my husband was home that day, not in Manhattan, though his brother and dad were at work in the city. It took them ages to finally make it home.

Thinking about that day brings back such anxiety and fear in me. I hope it's something that none of us every have to go through again.

Blessings to all of those who were touched by 9-11 in any way.
