I survived..kinda

Ok so my daughters Halloween slumber party was this weekend, we had 12 girls total, they had a blast. We started of the night with pizza and junk food, then played a game I found at the dollar store, you put the dvd in and there's a witch on the screen and you can ask a yes or no question and get an answer, ofcourse all they wanted to know about was boys boys boys! So then we had a ball in the cup contest LOL then hot potato then lite and a feather stiff as a board then bloody mary then they told scary stories then they watched Orphan and then the highlight of the night was the seance I pulled out all the stops they thought it was awesome, the girls were all whispering 'is your mom really a witch?' LOL Then they played with my homemade 'witches board' for awhile and then we tried to watch Halloween 4 but they were to scared so we just turned on Disney channel and they all finally passed out around 3:30 am! So heres the pics ......

WITCH PLEASE......

Found this on internet not sure were or whom to give credit too.......

Here are the things I don't care about :

I don't care what the name of your religion is.
I don't care what the names of your gods are.
I don't care how old your religion is.
I don't care if your great-great-whatever grandmother passed down your famtrad Book of Shadows under the watchful eye of the Inquisition.
I don't care if an entire civilization worshipped your Goddess for ten thousand years.
I don't care if you made Her up based on manga or Tolkien or a dream you had.
I don't care where you place your altar.
I don't care which direction you call Earth.
I don't care how psychic you are.
I don't care if you're smarter than me.
I don't care why you eat meat, or don't.
I don't care how many shields you think you need.
I don't care how your childhood trauma made you a powerful magickian.
I don't care if you spell "magic" with a k.
I don't care if you were an Atlantean Magus in your last life.
I don't care if you're brand-spanking new.
I don't care how much you hate Christians.
I don't care how many degrees you have.
I don't care if people call you "Lady" or "Lord."
I don't care if you're King of all Londinium and wear a shiny hat.
I don't care if you can read minds or light candles with your breath.
I don't care how the world owes you a living.
I don't care if you've been studying the Craft for thirty years or thirty minutes.
I don't care what your totem animal is, especially if it's a wolf, raven, or unicorn.
I don't care if you can trace your lineage back to Gardner.
I don't care if you think I'm a moron, fraud, or basket case.
I don't care how many books you've read.
I don't care how much or how little money you have.

What do I care about?

I care that your religion has made you a kinder, more compassionate person.
I care that you can hold down a job.
I care that you're growing past whatever happened to you as a child or last year.
I care that your gods help you become stronger without coddling you.
I care that you are willing and able to adapt and change as your life does.
I care that you care about the Earth.
I care that you care about someone and something outside yourself.
I care that you practice your religion with devotion and reverence.
I care that you respect others' paths.
I care that you never stop learning.
I care that you can conduct adult relationships with respect and understanding.
I care that you get how hilarious life is.
I care that you know when to ask for help.
I care that you realize that someone will always be smarter, more powerful, and more together than you.
I care that you realize it doesn't matter, because tomorrow you'll be smarter, more powerful, and more together than you were yesterday.
I care that you have reasons for everything you do, even if those reasons are purely intuitive.
I care that you can admit when you're wrong.
I care that you know you're both a tiny speck in a vast universe and a rare, precious jewel in the darkened sky.
I care that you're making a difference.
I care that you know when to speak and when to shut the hell up.
I care that you are seeking a relationship with Deity and with Nature.
I care that you are healthy.
I care that you're contributing to your family and community.
I care that your capacity for love and joy increase with every passing year.
I care that you believe in yourself.
I care that you're doing the best you can.

Girls Girls Girls

So my friend and I felt completely guilty that we had to cancel the big Halloween bash we had originally planned so we decided to just let our girls have a few of their friends over for a spooky slumber party, they both have 2 to 3 friends coming over to spend the night, we will have pizza and beer Oh I mean juice hehehehe do some fun things with make up and dressing up have a photo shoot and do some spooky things like bloody mary, light as a feather stiff as a board, a seance, scary movies, palm reading all kinds of fun things that you might expect a witch mommy to do. I have a few tricks that even the girls dont know about up my sleeve and I am sure it will be fun, as fun as it can possible be working with almost a zero budget! Light a candle say a prayer whatever it takes so I make it through the night with 8 12 year old girls to contend with. Or just send booze hehehehe

Thirsty Thursday.....

Some of my favorite Haloweenie drinks....

Witches Brew Wine, Can be found in most major retail chains at this time of year!

Bloody Mary's
its also a very Ya ya type drink!

Vampire Ale, I only saw this once and havent been able to find it again but it looks interesting.

And last but not least Butter Beer!
Heres the recipe...
Ingredients:

1 cup (8 oz) club soda or cream soda
½ cup (4 oz) butterscotch syrup (ice cream topping)
½ tablespoon butter

Directions:

Step 1: Measure butterscotch and butter into a 2 cup (16 oz) glass. Microwave on high for 1 to 1½ minutes, or until syrup is bubbly and butter is completely incorporated.

Step 2: Stir and cool for 30 seconds, then slowly mix in club soda. Mixture will fizz quite a bit.

Step 3: Serve in two coffee mugs or small glasses; a perfectly warm Hogwarts treat for two!

Keeping fingers crossed

I know this has nothing to do with the Halloween theme I have been following but I am feeling like I have neglected The Secret! SO I just wanted to throw some random things out there :)
A while back I posted I was looking to get some extra money from the IRS and I printed myself out a check from the universe to help speed it along, and at the time I was wanting it to come ASAP, and I have been waiting waiting waiting, every week I find a new reason why I need the check to come and how I am going to use it. Well I found out yesterday that it is on its way at the end of the month! WOOT WOOT! Now this brings me to my next point..... I ALWAYS say everything happens for a reason and the universe will give us what we ask for but sometimes gives it to us in an unexpected way or it waits till just the right time. Well if I had got my check a month or more ago it would be LONNNNNG gone! Which brings me to yet another point..... Back when I first moved in to my work site property I said that one day it would be wonderful to be accepted as an employee unit and not have to pay rent, well that happened a while ago, and has been a blessing and I am thankful for it everyday! Now in the mean time I have thought how nice it would be to have a big three bedroom and I have been picturing it happening, well it just so happens that an opportunity has arose that I might be able to get the big 3 bedroom I want, and I will find out Tomorrow if the Board approves it, I am confident they will, I already am making moving plans painting packing ect. But the money I will be getting from the IRS is coming just perfectly in time to help with the expense of moving, now I just find it wonderfully awesome how the universe has played this all out for me, I asked for it I saw it and believed it would happen and I have been and will always be thankful for the wonderful things I already have been blessed with. And that's how it works simple as that!!!

On a side note: A friend of mine teenager was kinda going threw some emotional issues the other day and what teenagers dont right! So anyways she was talking to him and I decided to throw in my 2 cents about being positive ect. and I was brief but made valid points and honest to go he said " wow I feel like you just taught me the secret to life" And then I smiled and said "I did!" No go forth and be prosperous my child hehehe no I didnt add that last part but it would have been funny hehehe Anyways for me to help in just that lil itty bitty way makes me feel so good and maybe just those few words will make a big difference or even a lil difference its all good, so my point is dont be afraid to talk about and spread the word about being a happy positive person, like attracts like and happiness and good news create more happiness and good news!!

Cancelled Halloween Party

I am very bumbed about this but it could not be avoided. We are going to try to do something make up for it but it will be on a very low budget. I think the weather is going to be crap this year anyways but everything happens for a reason so we will see......

Day of the Dead Tortilla Rolls

I went to Dawns Halloween party last night and I brought tortilla rolls, I usually bring them to any event, and they go over pretty well, I can just about make them blind folded now!
I cant give you the exact recipe as it changes up on my mood but here is the general Idea.

YOU NEED:
Tortilla shells
shredded cheese (usually sharp cheddar)
cream cheese
and whatever other ingredients you want to add:
usually I add ham, onions(sometimes green onions), sour cream, ranch flavor, garlic powder, & sometimes I use taco seasoning instead of ranch, and sometimes I use mayo instead of sour cream it gives it a zip. So basically what ever flavors float your boat; add them to the base and you are good to go. You will want to chop up everything real fine, mix it real good, then spread out over the shells and roll them up. (shells are easier to work with it they are room temp) Once all shells are rolled: place in fridge for about an hour to let everything get firm and stick together,(you dont have to wait but it make a cleaner cut) then cut into bite size slices and serve!

For this batch (because the party is Day of the dead themed) I added cumin and taco sauce and used taco mix cheese to get that mexican flavor
