Soooo long...

Its been so long since I have been here please forgive me! Really i am more mad at myself for getting away from the secret. I feel like a deflated balloon with out it!! The secret gives me life and hope and happiness but I MUST use it ugh! So I am on the happy train and going to try to keep on going!! The power to have anything and everything you want is there you just have to grasp it and not give up. A good friend once said God will never give you more then you can handle. And I believe that. I also believe that everything happens for a reason and I say it allll the time. Am I just trying to convince myself here maybe I am but hey whatever it takes right?
There has been so many things I have been meaning to blog about they get in my head and then stored and not recorded ugh!
For example for the longest time I have been wanting to blog about the power and proof of vision boards! I know that I have talked about them before but wanted to give a prime example. About 2 years ago I held a workshop for Pagan Center about creating vision boards. My daughter Grace participated. She put lots of cute lil things and included a dog, a Little white Maltese (kinda looked like the dog for the Cesar dog food commercials). At the time I said OK that's fine but you just keep on dreaming because we cant even have a dog were we live etc etc But she kept her vision board on her wall in her room! And wouldn't you know but a year later we were moving and what did she get for her birthday but a dog exactly like the one on her vision board!! And it really wasnt planned (well kinda) but when her grandmother took her around to animal shelters with just finding a small dog in mind my daughter had totally forgot about the vision board dog. And when I saw him I reminded her and it blew her mind (and mine to actually lol). Vision Boards are just one tool you can use to focus on your dreams. I like to keep pictures on my computer and when my screen is in save mode there is a picture reel of all my visions that plays!
Feelings.... I have come to realize that feelings play a big part in your life, if you feel like something bad is going to happen then that's what is going to happen. To be happy you have to feel happy. Sometime this may require you to fake it!! Really no kidding! Fake it. Walk around like you are on top of the world smiling and laughing and seeming to have not a care in the world. The universe will have no choice but to respond and you wont have to fake it for long you will be happy and care free. It might not happen overnight but it will happen.
Thoughts......Don't doubt it. Doubt is evil and should be squashed at first sight! A positive thought is a million times more powerful then a negative thought. Sooo... When hoping for something to happen like a raise, a new job, a new car, new house, pregnancy, marriage etc etc etc. See it feel it and KNOW it! Anytime that evil little doubt sneaks in stop it and replace it with a good thought and feel and vision. For example: Your thoughts are ~~" Oh I hope I get that new job" Doubt sneaks in ~~ ... "oh I'm not gonna get it they will probably give it to someone else"... Squash the doubt and replace it ~~ " I have the new job I want it is mine!!" See yourself at the new job with a big smile and keep telling yourself over and over till you have your self convinced!!!
Everyone has bad days and negative thoughts. Just watching the news is depressing and it seems like no matter who you talk to they have something to complain about. Its really hard to get rid of negativity so it is a very self motivated thing to keep up with. You have to do it yourself no one and no one thing can make you completely happy if you focus on all the bad of life. And when you get in a funk it sometimes can be very hard to get out of it. Sometimes even impossible with out medication! But whatever it takes to be happy is a must to go out there and do it, with happiness comes health and a long prosperous life! So besides medication .... when you are having one of those days were it just seems as everything is going Wrong and you are in a funk and cant get out of it theres are way to turn the tables! Music is always good for the mood, if you are in the car and hear a song you love and it makes you smile and bop your head, turn it up and jam out! Its almost a guarantee you will get in at least a lil bit better mood. I have a list of songs in my head that I know will instantly uplift my spirits and a playlist of recommended songs. Recently there is a new song out by Katy Perry called Firework. I tried to embed it here hopefully it works. I LOVE this song!!! She says every Hurricane has its Rainbow and omg that soo true!! Or maybe your at work or home and just want to scream at the top of your longs out of pure frustration. I don't actually recommending screaming LOL you will have people calling 911 thinking Godzilla just walked in or something. Try to just take a private moment (in the bathroom or deserted hallway)and meditate for a few minutes taking deep cleansing breaths and saying to yourself "we are starting over and the rest of the day will be great" shake of the bad vibes and smile. Then go on with your day not giving a second thought to the funkiness of the morning!
Even when the worst of things seem to be happening try to always focus that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and something good will come out of it.
No matter how bad something seems you can always find something that is god in it. And be thankful for that little bit of good no matter how little it is. Because with gratitude comes more things to be thankful for. I dont care who you are or what rough patch you are going through you have something to be thankful for! Everyday when you wake up you have the air you breath to be thankful for. Take a moment everyday to think of the things you are thankful for... 1. I am breathing 2. I have a job to go to 3. I have family & friends that love me 4. I have freedom the list goes on and on and on and on. Its never ending and the list can be growing everyday, every second. The more you are thankful the more things to be thankful for come. Its like a domino effect and is undoubtedly guaranteed!!!

Another quote from the song mentioned above " maybe a reason why all the doors are closed, so you can open one that leads you to the perfect road"

So i have briefly gone over all the aspects of the poser a positive thinking now; Note to self.... GET USING IT DAMN IT!!!!!!!

Travel

Even as a kid I was fascinated with traveling to distant & exotic places. I would get everything I needed for my journey and make my bed or couch into the ship that would take me to my destination. My mom would get mad if she called for me because I would tell her I cant come I am in the middle of the ocean LOL Now I haven't done a lot of traveling as an adult other then a few places with in the U.S. But I definitely aspire to travel to a few places before I leave this world.

Affirmation's

Definition:
Affirmation; is a declaration that something is true.

Positive affirmations are good to have around and can be helpful to get you in the right mind set. I have mentioned the notes from the universe that I get daily emails of. For Yule one year I made my Ya - Yas a daily quote jar. They can just pull a piece of paper out daily and hopefully it helps make the day go better. Dawn often sends me request for need new affirmations for her jar, which I happily oblige.
And we all know how I love my vision boards so why not combine the two. (thanks to another blogger & polyvore I had a light bulb and this is what I came up with ~>

Dawn I love you! My Ya Ya Dawn posted about the polyvore site on her blog. And this is an excellent way to create vision boards, you can create as many as you like and never have to get out the scissors and glue!! These are a few I created just to play with.

More on vision boards

I wanted to bring this back to the surface, I think vision boards may be the easiest way to incorporate the law of attraction into our life's. Like I mentioned I started making a scrapbook of things I wanted long before I knew anything bout the concept.

This past weekend one of my scrapbook ideas really came to life.

I have always wanted a country kitchen, with primary colors and stars as the themed background. I cut out the dish set, canisters ect I liked and pasted them in my scrapbook. Over the past few years I have been collecting various items that fit what I wanted for my kitchen and adding them here and there, I never really had to look hard for what I wanted it all just kinda came to me(gotta love that!). And my kitchen has always had the country feel to it since I moved out of my moms but it just wasn't quit what I was visualizing. If you have ever been to a Cracker Barrel restaurant the decor there is what I had in mind. My best friend came over this past weekend and we went to work. Got out all the old the wasn't going to be used and I didn't want or didn't fit with the theme brought out and put together new stuff, re arrange things, hung, nailed, glued, you name it!! And I LOVE my country kitchen now it is 98% of what I had visualized! Ya there are a few very minor details that I would like to add but I am really happy with the results and to think it all started in a scrapbook 4 years ago! I took pictures and will add them next week when I remember to bring my camera into work with me.

Other rooms have come together much to my delight as well(again thanks to my best friend, she is a work horse I dont know what I would do with out her). About 6 months ago I decided I wanted to redo my bathroom and came up with the idea of outhouses and like magic one of my favorite shopping sites kept coming up with all this outhouse stuff for the bathroom! So I would see something put it on my wish list and lil by lil order it and put it up. After I found the last piece(shower curtain) I bought the paint, pulled everything out of the boxes and Beth put it all together for me! It looks awesome, I couldn't be happier. And even though I didn't have this idea in my scrapbook or a vision board I still visioned what I wanted kept a wish list on the shopping site(most have this feature) and it came to life, same concept pretty much. IN i will post pictures next week!

My living room is pretty much the same story, I had purple furniture in the scrapbook n that was one of the first things I bought when I got the new place three years ago. You never really know how things will come to you. As I was day dream shopping and adding things to my scrapbook I came across these 2 Renaissance type prints that I knew I had to have one day. Well about a year later, I was yard sale shopping with a couple of my ya - ya's and I walked into this garage and there were my prints! I let out a very loud gasp and OMG! And my Ya-ya's who heard me from the neighbors garage came running LOL Needless to say I bought the pictures and they hang on my wall to this day. There is always lil different things I like to do to my living room its ever changing in slight ways, I like to keep it interesting. A recent change I had always had the idea in the back of my head was: glass jar apothecary type, theme scene for somewhere in the room. Well i wouldn't exactly call it apothecary type but I did end up finding some very pretty glass pieces and it came together nicely. Again pic to come soon.

As far as the bedrooms of course I have big plans for those in my vision book but for right now I am just happy the bedrooms are cleaned and organized, i have been and will continue to pick up lil things here and there for them and eventually it will all come together. And the same goes for the basement have HUGE Plans and that I am sure will be the last room to get done, but FOR NOW I am So happy and grateful that i have what I have and all my visions are coming to life!!!

Thanks for listening to my ramblings lol

And if you haven't started that vision board or book WHAT R U WAITING FOR!!! Tallyho!!!!

Vision Boards

In The Secret they talk about having a vision board or having several. One of the teachers John Assarf goes in depth about it. The idea is to have something physical to look at and remind ourselves of what we want, what our goals are. He explains that you just cut out pictures of things you want put them on a board somewhere you will see it and it will help to aid you in bringing those things into your life. By posting what you want you are sending out the message 'this is what I want". When you look at it and have these happy thoughts you are sending out energy of getting what you want. An important point to make is: you should always see yourself in yours goals, so if it helps put a picture of your smiling face right smack dab in the middle of the rest of the pictures, then do it! Its pointless to visualize a dream vacation to Europe endless you can actually see yourself there!
Long before I knew anything about The Secret and I was living at my mothers after my separation from my husband. Me and the kids shared a room and bed in my mothers tiny house, not the greatest time of my life but it could have been worse. All I wanted was my own place again, privacy, my own stuff ect. ect. We used to get all these catalogs in the mail with home decorations, furniture things of the like. And I would ponder over how I would actually decorate my own place when I got it. Then one day; more then likely just out of pure boredom I decided to create a note book of everything I wanted for my new place. I had a section for each room and wrote down details of the colors and themes I would like to use. I also started cutting out pictures from the catalogs we got. I had the dishes, silverware, linen, couches, lamps, paintings, everything you could imagine for a new home picked out. I had that book filled to the max!!! Nothing was to good or expensive or out of reach I could have anything I wanted all I had to do is cut it out and put it in the book!! i loved looking through it and showing it off even. And yes I got a few laughs and keep dreaming. But I didn't care I kept it in my mind that when I did get a place i would have all that stuff and I would have the best house out of anyone I knew. Well I packed the book away at some point. I eventually did get my own place, a cute lil place if I do say. I came across the notebook, looked through it and to my utter surprise I had A LOT of the stuff that was cut out and pasted in it!! Did I get everything? No, I didn't end up with all of it (like the 100,000$ crystal chandelier LOL) BUT I did get and still have and I am still getting a lot of the stuff I put in my book.
Your vision board or book or whatever you want to put it on, doesn't have to be some elaborate crafty masterpiece. If you choose to share it wonderful, but you don't have to do that either. If you have been wanting a new car, maybe one in particular, find a picture of it, post it up somewhere you will look at it often and every time you look at it, imagine yourself driving away in it! See yourself signing the papers, hell close your eyes and pretend to drive it, motor sounds and all. The more real you make it for yourself and the more you believe it, the easier and faster it will come!
At Christmas time I encourage my kids to go through all the sale ads and circle things they want, I am sure most f us did this as kids. Its the same concept seeing what we want and doing something about getting it. In The Secret they give an example of a young boy cutting out a picture of a new bike he wants and making a cute lil page and pinning it up in his room, and how he ends up with the bike. My point is that this is so easy a kid can do it! LOL and its actually a good way to help introduce The Secret into our kids lives. After all they do learn from example.

The magic and power to manifest our dreams is with in us all, its our gift to use and use and use, it is indispensable, you can never run out so take it and run with it baby!!!!
